Wow, how thrilled am I with this review? Over the moon! I feel as if I have a Goddess Connection myself. :)

I've always loved books that center around Goddesses and The Magic of Lavender fits the bill perfectly.

The cast of characters of this book keeps the book even more interesting.
The underworld that was created by Masters is unique in that it is an entirely different way at seeing Goddesses. The Inn is on ley lines that help Joss use her magic. Using the ley lines she makes the Lord of the Underworld angry. You really need to read the book to find out what happens!
I cannot wait to read the second book in this series and other works by Cate Masters. This book really made me escape my boring life and enter into one that magic is possible.

Release Day! Book Review: Die For Me by Amy Plum

Die for Me is the debut novel of Amy Plum, an Alabama native living the literary life in the suburbs of Paris, France. It would not be unusual to find Ms. Plum cranking out the pages of her Work-In-Progress in an ancient French castle. She puts the City of Lights to excellent use in the first book of this young adult, paranormal romantic trilogy.

Kate Mercier, age 16, a New Yorker living in Brooklyn, finds her life turned upside down in more ways than one when her parents die in a car accident. Kate and her sister leave their old life behind and try to start life afresh when they move to Paris to live with their grandparents. Kate hopes to lose herself and forget her pain in a world of books and art.

During one of her forages, she encounters a mysterious and extremely handsome young man named Vincent. Though cautious, Kate finds herself charmed and intrigued by him. As she spends time with him, she questions how much she really knows about him. Vincent seems to be hiding something.

Release Day for Two Great Books and Giveaway of One: The Extraordinary Secrets of April, May & June by Robin Benway and I Am Number Four by Piitucus Lore aka James Frey and Jobie Hughs

Today is the release day of two really good books I was privileged to read. One is The Extraordinary Secrets of April, May & June by Robin Benway. This is the second book by the author who is a relative new comer to the YA genre. It tells the tale of three sisters with special powers: ability to see the future, ability to disappear and ability to read minds. They have to use these powers to help them navigate a tough year in their life, of which hell in high school is only one part. The author has a tremendous talent to write the teen voice. Awesome!

The second book and the one that will be given away is I Am Number Four. The alleged author is Pitticus Lore, but the true authors are James Frey of A Million Little Pieces fame and Jobie Hughs who is making his debut and is apparently the major contributor to the book. This is an exciting story that is the first of a six-book series. It is the story of teen aliens from the planet Lorien who live among us on Earth, attempting to blend in and escape the Mogadorians, a murderous race of aliens that have destroyed their planet. The teens are the only survivors of Lorien and they're being hunted. The movie is already in production for release in February 2011.

Release Day!: Review and Giveaway of INSATIABLE, by Meg Cabot & DECEPTION--A Haunting Emma Novel by Lee Nichols

Today is release day of two good stories. INSATIABLE is Meg Cabot's adult paranormal and DECEPTION is the first YA book of Lee Nichols and the first of her Haunting Emma series.

INSATIABLE is Meg's contribution to the vampire madness and it is quite humorous and engaging. Believe it or not, this is the first Meg Cabot book I've ever read. It had me chuckling more than once as well as had my heart racing in more than a few scenes.

DECEPTION is Lee Nichols first plunge into the teen market and I would certainly call it a success. It's a creepy ghost mystery with a dose of romance mixed it.
