Cover Mock Up #1
I love because it incorporates the island (well the water surrounding it anyway) and the elemental beast (which is very dragon like).
Cover Mock Up #2
This one I like because you see more of her hair and her corset.
So, which do you like? Or, do you see some version of the two?
These were both created, by the way, by the amazing Emma Hillman.
Here is the blurb for the story, tell me if you think the cover matches it...
Aubrey Griffen is a witch whose true reasons for coming to London soon fall to the wayside when she catches the eye of Edmund Bryant, the Marquess of Dalysbury. He seduces her into a whirlwind romance until the lies and threats of his mother force her to flee to Triaill Brimuir, a secret island of her ancestors off the coast of Ireland . Edmund goes after her only to be hit by Aubrey’s confusion and anger when she magically transforms him into an elemental beast of her own creation.
However, it is when Edmund’s lust mysteriously turns him back into a man that the couple are forced to deal with a family secret and untold of powers. Now, Edmund must learn to shift himself into the beast in order to save her in a battle of black verses white magic.
Fraught with scenes of explicit intimacy, romantic spells and mystical shapeshifting, Torn Asunder is a unique blending of the age of manners with sexual magic.
Thanks in Advance,
Kiki

I think a combination of the two would be really nice. I like the arrangement on #1, but I also like the hair and corset showing in #2. Both of those in the same cover would work well, I think.
Yes, I planned to suggest the same thing as Lisa did.
It might be interesting if you could move the title to above your name on the second one, and then incorporate the water and dragon dude like it is in the first. No matter what you do, they both are lovely covers.
Hi Kiki -- the story sounds wonderful! I have to agree with Lisa and Arlene that a combo would be nice. I really like the water aspect of number one :) Good luck. I can't wait to see the final cover!!
I have to add in my 2 cents here. Based on the blurb, I love cover #1the best and think it really paints a vivid picture of the story. With the water and sunset, it's gorgeous and I'd definitely take a closer look based on that.
I see what you mean about the second cover, but it looks like she's fiddling with a grass blade or something not witch-like.
A combinatin would be cool, maybe back up the girl a little so we see more of her and less of the drape, or have her in the foreground of the lake. But I stand by my "I adore cover number one" statment. :)
Thanks Everyone! It helps a lot. Any feedback helps to calm the anxieties. I am just so excited about this story. I do think a combo will be best, but if I had to choose it would be #1 which is why I made it that way in the post:) Good to hear you would pick it up and it matches the blurb. This one was really a challenge with the mix of genres.
I'm joining the concensus. I like the layout of the first, but the detail of the second image.
