POD of the future

Taking POD to the next level, the Espresso Book Machine brings convenience to readers. Now if we can just get bookstores on board to buy these babies!

This is a long interview, but very informative.

Pretty cool, huh?

It's nice, but it will set you back about $97,500. Plus $600 a month maintenace and $5,000 for the software. I'm waiting because I think in a few years, there'll be others and the price will come down, including creating a smaller version for people to use. We'll see.

Very cool. I love the direction this industry is headed. The cost will go done, kinks get worked out and you'd be able to go into even the smaller bookstores to have your book printed out while you sip on a latte.
Thanks for posting, Cate.

As with others machines, the price will fall the more that sell. I'm excited about the idea of enjoying a cup of coffee while my book prints out. What an innovative idea and something the students will enjoy if it can bring down the outrageous cost of text books. Hooray for POD. We're finally going to get recognition. :)
